Today is Black Friday. That is not the day of some horrific event. It is actually the name given to the time in one year, where businesses are able to get out of the red and into the black. That is, profit wise, today is the day for the start of a good profit and end to debt within the calendar year.

Moreover, many consumers benefit from this. I know this, at least I think I do. For upon going to our regular early 5 am workout this morning at the club, my wife and I found ourselves in traffic. This is unusual for this area so early. This morning was different as car upon car was heading to the mall, Walmart, and other stores. Value heaven was in store for these people. I personally saw flyiers giving up to 70% off regular prices for today. The promotions were from 5am to around 10 am. Starting at this early morning rush, Americans said “full steam ahead”, all the while death and mayhem were the order of the day around the world.

It is hard to believe in the world the things that are going on. Starvation, famine, pestilence, murder, bloodshed, terror attacks, muslim killing muslim, muslim killing Christians, and other things are the events of the day. Many Americans today live in a world all their own. How else could a nation be at war and not really know it? The only ones who really know we are at war are the families who have loved ones overseas. The others are those who have lost loved ones in this latest war action in Iraq. My wife and I are touched and our hearts go out to those who have lost a wife, husband, father, son, daughter, or other relative in this action overseas. For the most part, however, Americans are blinded to the whole matter.

Even during Vietnam, an action where I was in the military serving in the Navy. My duty stateside was on the east coast with minor incursions off the coast of New York where we threw the rubber dummy overboard and had ‘man overboard drills’. Besides that we shot off our flares at sea gulls, had 24 hour watches and basically stood by while America fought a lackluster war in Nam. If there ever was a political war, Nam was it. It was a loser from the beginning. Our politicians, like they have today, got us into that mess. Now we have another one. Politically motivated and inspired. The ones who are real losers in this are the soldiers who lose their lives.

One thing though, soldiers from America are dying for others. The young men and women in Iraq are dying to bring an idea of America to another nation. Iraq, though, filled with Muslim hatred and bitterness fights a civil war to stop what we want to put there. We cannot make them be a democracy. They have to come together and do it. The problem is, they see America’s own homosexuality, fornication, sexual perversions, and many other vices and they don’t want it. They equate immorality with our democracy. Rightly so, for within this nation, filthiness is a way of life.

The fight today,whether in Iraq or at home is actually with our own motivations to serve God. We find ourselves throwing out biblical commands because we don’t like them. This has become the norm today.  Many nations in the past have been overthrown by their own debauchery. Babylon, Sodom, Gomorah, Rome, and others all have fallen. Over time, all nations meet their end. Even Iraq met the end of their ruthless dictatorship in Sadam. Now innocent Iraqi’s are dying by the hundreds daily. Muslims kill Muslims to stop our idea of democracy in that nation.

In the end, Americans still went to shop. They enjoyed this life of ease and prosperity. They have no concept of such brutality as Iraq or even during WWII or WWI. Americans in the past have suffered through depressions, Wars, violence, Indian wars, civil strife, and Civil War. Today, though, Americans have no idea of such hardships. We go about our day to day life with the rest of the world near chaos. All the while we sleep during the day. Walking like Zombies ignorant to it all.

Wake up America. The trouble is coming to your shores. Your sins will find you out. America will face the true hardship. The life you know in America will cease to exist. I warn about this in my new book D-Day for America. We feature a great new offer.
