Taken from Habakkuk: The eye of the prophet is commanded to live by faith and thus writes of a Godly faith while surrounded by evil and darkness.
The Lord Jesus Christ gives us a fair warning in the gospels of the time we live in!
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.
36 Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.
Surely it will come, terrible times upon the earth, nations, and people themselves.
In Luke 21:26 it tells us of “men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth”.
Of course, these words of Jesus describes it as a time when partying, eating, giving in marriage, buying, selling, living, being educated, going to doctors, and the like (called cares of this life) would be going on.
A time thwn many would be so overcome with these details in life, things seemed so important that the eternal things were left undone. This would be a day and an age when events on earth and the very powers in heaven will seem as if they are going to fall apart, be destroyed, and all life will no longer exist.
This would indeed be a deterimental time of anguish and sorrow upon this planet. As a result, ‘men’s hearts will literally stop beating’ caused by the anxiety and stress of the day. D Day for America… p140
These troubles, sorrows, and birthing pangs are just the beginning. For waiting in the wings is the most terrible of times coming..
