In the latest news on more funding for both wars, Bush wanted the congress to approve war funds in the sum total of approximately 189 billion dollars. This is in addition to the 600 billion dollars already approved for both Iraq and Afghanistan. After all the years of this fighting, much can be said about it. Many have died, and the fighting goes on. With the US supplying most of the funds, men, and motivation for this war, it has actually brought us to a virtual never ending war with terrorists who don’t have to worry about a national debt.

Bush is the same guy who is trying to bring us the North American Union, the Super highway, and possibly the Euro. One witness to this whole process is Vicente Fox, former ruler of Mexico who has written a new book. In his appearances in America he has qualified a statement on a process to unionize the continent. In political speak, it is still not clear, but certainly there lays a proposal for change on this continent. Fox said “Long term, very long term, what we proposed together, President Bush and me, its ALCA, which is a trade union for all the Americas.”

Does it matter that you may not like it? Do you ever get the feeling that no matter what you think, say, or do, it doesn’t matter? For most Americans, their lifestyle is one that keeps them busy. Did you hear of the proverbial ‘head in the sand’? For most in this nation, that is exactly where their head is. To help understand the society today, I now quote a comedian who said it best:

We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness. We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.. With all that going on, it’s no wonder, that just a few powerful men can rule the nation we now call home. After passage of the 1913 Federal Reserve act, Woodrow Wilson who saw its victory through congress had time to ponder what happened. Years later the former President Wilson stated:

I am a most unhappy man. I have unwittingly ruined my country. A great industrial nation is controlled by its system of credit. Our system of credit is concentrated. The growth of the nation, therefore, and all our activities are in the hands of a few men. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the civilized world no longer a Government by free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and the vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of a small group of dominant men. -Woodrow Wilson

Over the years, especially in wars, civil wars, and other actions we have gotten into, the President is the one who seems to make the decisions. Congress on the other hand, who has been duly elected by their own people, makes this decision. It is in the hands of our “of the people” representatives to take up the mantle of responsibility to elect honest, and trustworthy people to our government. It is then, the sacred duty of these same elected officials to protect our rights in the constitution. If the government we elect does not do the job of protecting our rights and the constitution of this United States, then we are to de-throne them and elect people who will. Ron Paul speaks to this issue in his article “Who makes foreign policy?”

The role of the president as commander in chief is to direct our armed forces in carrying out policies established by the American people through their representatives in Congress. He is not authorized to make those policies. He is an administrator, not a policy maker. Foreign policy, like all federal policy, must be made by Congress. [Ron Paul-who makes foreign policy?]

It is shameful that Congress ceded so much of its proper authority over foreign policy to successive presidents during the 20th century, especially when it failed to declare war in Korea, Vietnam, Kosovo, and Iraq. It’s puzzling that Congress is so willing to give away one of its most important powers, when most members from both parties work incessantly to expand the role of Congress in domestic matters. Former President Ronald Reagan spoke very distinctly on the rights, freedoms, and what our nation is like. He issued forth a warning that ‘freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction’.

“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.” – - Ronald Reagan

Today more than ever many have taken for granted that those in power will do us no harm. The fact of the matter is, our forefathers did not trust government or those in power. They put together a constitution unlike any other in history. One designed to protect your rights, freedoms, which made a way for you to have a voice in this nation. This nation was declared to be ‘of the people, by the people, and for the people’. The trouble today is most are left out of the loop. Powerful self interest groups lobby the legislation they want, while many other powerful men in this country work tirelessly to bring in the world they want. Call it what you want to, one world order, the new world order, or one world government, there are men today, who simply want to destroy our way of life. Former President Woodrow Wilson saw the passage of the Federal Reserve act, which according to him, would bring the US down the road to credit and destruction, all in the hands of a few powerful bankers.

It was one of President John F Kennedy’s last speeches, in which he told of “powerful men who are trying to destroy this nation” further saying that “before I am done, I am going to tell the American people”. Of course we know he was assassinated. This was and still is shrouded in mystery. Rumors fly as to who really did it and was the government involved or maybe those same powerful men who he was going to tell the American people about.

The trouble today is that most people are now at the point in this nation, where they will be able to do little to stop the agenda’s of the powerful elite. There will be some who say it is not too late to bring back the America we once knew. If there is to be hope, then both the American public and those in government need to change fast. If not, then welcome to the New Ordered World of the rich few who think you have had too many rights in the past. This new world will make George Orwell’s writings describing such a government seem like a lamb in comparison.
