Ron Paul, Who Is HE?

Congressman Ron Paul is the leading advocate for freedom in our nation’s capital. As a member of the U.S. House of Representatives, Dr. Paul tirelessly works for limited constitutional government, low taxes, free markets, and a return to sound monetary policies. Ron Paul was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Gettysburg College and the Duke University School of Medicine, before proudly serving as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Air Force during the 1960s. He and his wife Carol moved to Texas in 1968, where he began his medical practice in Brazoria County. As a specialist in obstetrics/gynecology, Dr. Paul has delivered more than 4,000 babies. He and Carol, who reside in Lake Jackson, Texas, are the proud parents of five children and have 17 grandchildren.

While serving in Congress during the late 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Paul’s limited-government ideals were not popular in Washington. In 1976, he was one of only four Republican congressmen to endorse Ronald Reagan for president.

During that time, Congressman Paul served on the House Banking committee, where he was a strong advocate for sound monetary policy and an outspoken critic of the Federal Reserve’s inflationary measures. He was an unwavering advocate of pro-life and pro-family values. Dr. Paul consistently voted to lower or abolish federal taxes, spending and regulation, and used his House seat to actively promote the return of government to its proper constitutional levels. In 1984, he voluntarily relinquished his House seat and returned to his medical practice.

Dr. Paul returned to Congress in 1997 to represent the 14th congressional district of Texas. He presently serves on the House Committee on Financial Services and the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. He continues to advocate a dramatic reduction in the size of the federal government and a return to constitutional principles.

Congressman Paul’s consistent voting record prompted one of his congressional colleagues to say, “Ron Paul personifies the Founding Fathers’ ideal of the citizen-statesman. Pandemonium, the Viral Memes of Society

Part I: Pandemonium Begins

“Society is falling apart”, one Pastor remarked. The pastor was holding services at the Wedgwood Baptist church in a middle class neighborhood. The location was on the edge of Fort Worth, Texas. The state which has the death penalty and a former governor named George Bush who oversaw 100 death penalty convictions. Texas is a state which by all accounts should not see such things as rapidly spreading violence, violence which tonight would make society aware of a man unknown until now. Larry Ashbrook, who was anti-religious in a way that the attractions of religion could not outweigh his inner demons made a fateful decision. On this night, Larry would make society aware of whom he was. He walked into the Wedgwood Baptist church and unloaded three magazines of bullets from a nine-millimeter semi automatic pistol before shooting himself. When all was said and done, three teenagers and three adults were killed with a fourth teen dying at the hospital. Seven others were treated in area hospitals. In this, Pandemonium reigned.

The living Church of God met at a local Sheraton hotel. The conference room was just the right size and provided a nice place for the believers to gather for worship. In Brookfield, a suburb of Milwaukee, many congregations gathered for such meetings. After all, this is America, home of Free speech, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, all rights guaranteed by our constitution. The pastor, though, had made an enemy. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that one of the pastors sermons which “talked about people’s problems are of their own making” had made a local congregant named Terry Ratzmann angry. The Forty four year old walked into the Sheraton and found the local congregation where he had been meeting and unloaded 22 bullets from his 9 mm handgun. Within minutes the pastor, the pastor’s son, and five other church members were dead, four others wounded, and Ratzmann killed himself. Pandemonium had again reigned.

Youth with a mission had sent out countless young people on missions for the Lord. The missions group was world wide, and had seen many miracles for the Lord. The YWAM located in Arvada, a suburb of Denver, was a training center for such young people. They also had an office at one of the biggest churches around at the 10,000 member New Life Church in Colorado Springs. During December of 2007, Matthew Murray found his way to the YWAM center where he had been involved for a short while. He later went over to the New Life Church. On both visits, Murray made sure history and America remembered him. He unloaded his weapon, killing himself and four others, while wounding five people. Murray had come from a religious Christian household. Pandemonium again reigned.

America is a melting pot, but today, society is becoming more and more pushed to the limit. With the many stresses today, mere religion is becoming unable to handle the massive troubles facing society. What lukewarm religious ideas do to the soul, so does too much salt, it is good for nothing but to be thrown out. But that statement would be considered by many to be only an opinion. But the frequency of violence in our society and violence to those in the mainstream churches are not opinion. The events mentioned above are factual, they occurred. No more to be considered opinion as if it occurs, the question now is, what must we do? To understand this, know that America is not just one Christian nation today. It has become a melting pot.

Religion-cults.com, whose own sources, currently reveals that there are approximately 10,000 astrologers and 300,000 witches practicing in the USA. Along with these figures, add to the mix the American people, 40 million of them, who consult the horoscope. Even former President Reagan was known to have a White house Astrologer. Then figure in 8,000 members of the satanic church and 20,000 santero priests working their magic arts in Miami and New York alone and the picture grows even more. Now add the phenomenon of Harry Potter whose blatant use of Witchcraft has grown tremendously. The Barna research mentions that 84 percent of teens have personally read or watched Harry Potter. Add to this that 77 percent of so called born again Christian teens have seen or watched Potter as well and you have a solid picture of what is influencing our society.

Part II: Viral Memes of Pandemonium

Do we blame violence on all those who are not Christian? Of course, we cannot and should not. For even Christians, so named, but not actually, have committed horrendous crimes against others since the betrayal of Jesus Christ. The problem we have though is perception. Many times what we see as truth is actually false. It is brought to us in the guise of clever manipulations. We call this deception. As a matter of fact, many governments today even practice this. For point of an example, take the US Air Force Office of Special Investigations. It consists of more than 2900 federal agents and support personnel. This special investigative office dates back to 1948. One such agent was Richard Doty, who co-authored “Exempt from Disclosure”, and has gone on record about clever manipulations. His on record comments suggest that there are times when lying to the public is okay.

He has been the subject of much controversy, but his comments, would never be accepted by many in any public office today. As we know, the government never lies, it just stretches the truth. That which stretches the truth, that bit of cultural information which will evolve in a way, just as Richard Dawkins in 1976 wrote in his book ‘The Selfish Gene’ spoke of it as a virus, aka ‘viral internet memes’.
“Propagating from one organism to another and subject to all the analogous unintended mutations”.

As we walk down this path, let us realize that the organism is speaking to society today on many fronts. From the churches and pastorates we hear how blessed we are, even one top Pastor, whom I will not name, who said that “God told me, to have it all”. Fame, fortune, prosperity, and popularity, you can have it all. When society seems to be breaking down and violence, murder, rape, and economic stability all seem to be in the news, we hear voices that represent what we call God, say, “relax, you can have it all.” Of course, it doesn’t matter what the scripture may really say. It doesn’t matter, for the memes here, or the so called ‘mind virus’ is that aspect which says, don’t listen to anyone else. Everything is fine, America is blessed, you can live to be a 120, have everything your heart desires, and God would have it no other way. This is the viral memes affecting many today.

But the truth is Pandemonium is coming full circle. This sub god, whose own obeisance is to the God of Chaos, then to the Son of Perdition (2 Thess 2), and finally to Lucifer will continue its work. I found on one website, aptly named ‘pandemonium today’ the main thrust of its thought. That is “Chaos brings me great joy for clarity comes with the afterglow. Pandemonium may indeed be the minimal amelioration requirement. Aggravate with me, we shall toast on the other side”. The other side, of course, that that which comes out of Pandemonium, which is chaos, and out of chaos, comes order. To this end, Lucifer is working. For in order for the son of Chaos to arrive as the one of perdition, chaos must greet him. In order for Jesus Christ, the Messiah to arrive, establishing his kingdom, the son of chaos must arrive, and the earth will have its birth pangs. Thus, out of pandemonium, arrives chaos, out of which comes order.

We find the Greeks first playing with this word Pandemonium. It was here, in Greek culture that the story of Pan began. He was depicted as a man with horns, legs, tail of a goat with a thick beard, stub nose, and pointed ears. It was this Pan, whom they called God of shepherds and flocks, of mountain wilds, hunting, and rustic music. He wandered the country playing pan-pipes and chasing Nymphs. It might be understood here, that Pan used music as his main enjoyment. His actions produced feelings of panic. Also let us consider that the New American Heritage Dictionary defines “muse”, that part which we derive music from, as “the spirit or power regarded as inspiring and watching over people, poets, and musicians.” It should be stated that this “muse” or spirit has the ability to influence all who listen to it. From this we find that ‘music’ can be one of the biggest weapons Pandemonium would use. From this consider the blood rock, hard rock, and satanic rock that highlights many CD and DVD albums today. Each lyric inspired by an ancient spirit, each lyric becomes a prayer; each prayer is prayed every time anyone repeats it. Thus, Pandemonium has many weapons, and other’s with whom his objective is shared.

Thus, we find in pandemonium that his unseen presence aroused feelings of panic. Out of this we find our word pandemonium. Made of two works, pan and daemon (evil spirit, demon), pandemonium is first found in Melton’s, ‘Paradise lost’ and is the capital of Hell. The word denotes an extreme state of confusion and disorder. Further it denotes, bedlam, chaos, topsy-turvy Dom, confusion, disorder resulting from a failure to behave predictably. How easy would it be for such a demon, aptly named Pandemonium, to bring forth his bedlam and chaos from human emotions of rage, jealousy, hatred, variance, and strife? The results would be co-opted with spirits of murder, bloodshed, rape, and every other evil. Thus we find the following, being tempted.

James 1:14  But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

Let us also consider this as well, for scriptures bluntly point out that distress and perplexity will be upon the nations. Is America so different? Nay, not at all!

Luke 21:25  And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
26  Men’s hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
27  And then shall they see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.

As we watch the takeover of America, let us realize that our safety doesn’t rest in other gods, people, flesh, or methods. We can only find safety in the Lord Jesus Christ. Surely it will come and not delay. For even now, Pandemonium wrecks havoc in our society, with chaos not far away. The time will come when chaos will reign fully. When it does, America and her system will give way to the rise of the ‘son of perdition’, and the beast kingdom found in Revelation. All those who are continuing in their messages of peace and prosperity will be found wanting. For the rest of those souls I suggest this, Fast, Pray, Seek the LORD as never before, and pray Luke 21:36.

Virgins of Paradise -
music video returns to PA TV

A music video depicting a Shahid (Martyr for Allah) being greeted in Paradise by the Dark Eyed Maidens (Virgins) has returned to Palestinian Authority (PA) television. The return of this of Shahada (Death for Allah) promotion comes at a time the PA leadership may be interested in increasing the motivation of its fighters. The PA fears an Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip in response to the continuous firing of rockets at Israeli cities

The clip portrays a woman being shot in the back by Israeli soldiers. She is immediately transported to Paradise, where she joins other Maidens wearing identical long white gowns, all joyously dancing, waiting to marry their Shahid. The next scenes depict her male friend visiting her grave, after which he is also shot by Israeli soldiers. His Shahada- Death for Allah is immediately rewarded, and he is transported to heaven, where all the “Maidens” — including his lover — turn to greet him.

This is one of the longest-running music videos on PA TV. It was broadcast incessantly for years, often several times a day during the PA terror war (2000-2005) and returned for a month in September 2006. This recurring image of the Martyr being rewarded by receiving the Maidens was part of the multifaceted PA campaign glorifying and encouraging terror, and promoting suicide terror as idyllic Shahada (Martyrdom for Allah).

After an absence of more than a year, PA TV has been broadcasting this video clip regularly for the past month. It is possible that PA TV is attempting to increase the motivation for battle, and especially death in battle, among its men should a ground war develop in the Gaza Strip.

The belief that man is rewarded with beautiful women in Paradise is based on Islamic traditions in the Quran [Suras 42, 44, 52, 56, and others] and the Hadith (traditions attributed to Muhammad), and is expressed regularly in many parts of PA society..

I want to marry the Dark Eyed [Virgins or Maidens of Paradise].’ I said [that] if these are his thoughts, I wish him Shahada.”

The PA grants Shahid (Martyr) status to all those killed in conflict including suicide bombers and other terrorists.

Scientists in the United Kingdom believe that women may be evolving as humanity’s sole representatives.

There is a bill in the British parliament that may become law next summer saying fathers of artificially conceived children need not be recognized by the state. It’s called The Human Tissue and Embryos Bill and is barely raising an eyebrow in the UK. But it has caught the attention of some of those who would stand to gain from present scientific advances, social changes, and subsequently the legal changes that would result.

As if to lend credence to the dire predictions made in the bizarre 1969 hit song, In the Year 2525 [2], scientists drawing on the premise that male fertility is on the decline due to damaged genes on the Y chromosome are predicting that heterosexual reproduction may only last another 125,000 years or so. They draw this conclusion after noting that 7 percent of men are now infertile. They ignore, of course, that 93 percent of men are not infertile and probably very capable of reproduction. Despite this, “The core sex is female,” says Bryan Sykes, professor of human genetics at Oxford University, as he lends his voice to those in favor of proceeding with male-less involvement in conception. But can it really be accomplished?

In Japan, artificial sperm produced from bone-marrow cells led to pregnancies and live births in mice. Karim Nayernia, a professor of stem-cell biology at Newcastle University, has demonstrated that sperm can be manufactured from embryo stem cells, thereby ensuring unlimited sperm availability, but also unlimited dead babies in the process. Nayernia is presently awaiting permission to proceed with his experiments to produce synthetic sperm cells from women’s stem cells.

What does all this mean? It means scientists are more than willing to attempt to create a baby without the need for male involvement. It is proof positive that the push to destroy traditional families and morality continues all out. And it shows the intent that parenthood be reduced to nothing but a legal responsibility and not a human biological one. It also means that the state is willing to set a precedent, redefining a child’s biological origins in total opposition to the natural law.

The Human Tissue and Embryos Bill does recognize a new approach to parenthood suited to the gay and lesbian communities, and perhaps that’s the point. Even if the grandiose scheme to create babies could not be done without male involvement, genetic or otherwise, the legislation itself would still be a social sea change in favor of gays and lesbians.

Of course, the notion of men eventually dying off completely, leaving only females to run and rule the world is the height of absurdity and most likely wishful thinking — male bashing at its best (can’t you just feel the anger?) However, the damage done by this type of social engineering in recognizing, legitimizing, and promoting lesbian “families” in this fashion can have catastrophic consequences. David Velleman, professor of philosophy at New York University warned, “Our society has embarked on a vast social experiment in producing children designed to have no human relations with some of their biological relatives … permanently severed from their biological past … by deliberate intention.” He means there will be no father figure, no one to call upon to help deal with the problems presented by developing adolescents, and the loneliness and unhappiness of children who don’t know their own fathers.

One wonders if the developers of the new technology and recipients of artificially created babies will only accept female babies who are lesbians. It’s all so silly. The London Times article is not based on proper science. But it is an attack on the foundation of society — the family.

Speaking before the world’s most powerful homosexual pressure group, she said: “God has certainly blessed America with the work of the Human Rights Campaign.”

In the last 16 months since AFTAH came on the scene as a full-time organization, we have been mocked, vilified and, well, HATED by homosexual activists as few other pro-family groups. Here’s one example from a fanatical homosexual blogger who called me “one of the most hated men in America”:

LaBarbera, a man who would bury the Constitution under six feet of damp earth, haunts us thanks to the freedom he’s allowed by that very same document. In many civilized countries, LaBarbera would be in jail for hate language that makes all other hate language seem like benign nursery rhymes.

In any case, LaBarbera has started a new website called “Republicans For Family Values.” Of course, LaBarbera is as much of a Republican (not my favorite people) as cancer is a sentient life form and LaBarbera is as familiar with family values and values overall as you and I are familiar with why Peter LaBarbera’s mother hasn’t killed herself out of embarrassment.

Such cruel slanders come with the territory, from lost souls who project their own hatred for God and His values onto those of us who “agree with God,” and who are merely doing our best to uphold godly values in the culture – against a multi-faceted “gay” lobby that spends far more in promoting homosexuality than all the pro-family groups combined do in opposing it.

Yes, they call us “pornographers” because we expose the unique, vanguard role of the homosexual lobby in promoting shocking public indecency and perversions like the “Folsom Street Fair,” which occurs every year in Nancy Pelosi’s own district, and which she can’t seem to condemn despite it’s unprecedented and illegal public nudity and sex acts in the streets, and its awful anti-Christian bigotry.

They say that I must be secretly “gay” – because I fight the homosexual movement.

They say that I have a homosexual bathhouse obsession – because we seek to expose and close down the resurgent homosexual sex clubs that serve as breeding grounds for deadly diseases – the same sort of clubs facilitating anonymous homo-sexual acts that helped spread AIDS in America in the first place (see Randy Shilts’ And the Band Played On).

They call us “judgmental” – because we affirm the truth that “gay (c)hristianity” mocks God and His Word – and is no more plausible than, say, “adulterous (c)hristianity.”

The despise us when we speak the truth in love that homosexual men and women can change and overcome homosexuality through the power of Jesus Christ, whose humble earthly birth we celebrate this season.

Yes, they absolutely HATE us because we stand unapologetically against their sexual ideology as one that a holy Creator can have no part of. This “culture war” is not about us – it’s about right versus wrong, and those who, “wise in their own eyes,” would cast God and His moral law aside by calling “evil good and good evil.” (Isaiah 5:21)

Nancy Pelosi could not have been more wrong in what she told the adoring audience of homosexual activists at the Human Rights Campaign gala: our holy and loving God cannot “bless” sin – much less a sexual sin group like HRC that spends tens of millions of dollars every year to promote homosexuality in politics and culture, even to America’s youth.

But God will “certainly bless” you when you stand for His Truth, no matter what the cost.

The Two Faces of China and the Sacred Doctrine

This year China will host the Olympics. All eyes are and have been on this nation. President Nixon first opened the door to this society many years ago. Then it was in the midst of its own cultural revolution, Red Guard style. Over the years this nation has changed. Its own lifestyles, clothing, business, and international affairs have seemed to adapt more to modern society. When one mentions China, the major supplier Wal Mart comes to mind. Not only Wal Mart but many other top companies do business with China today. It seems only right, some say, that China should now host the Olympics. On the Olympics Website there is a warning though aimed at all athletes and other travelers coming to China. This warning gives one side of the face to the current China we know today. Just like the businesses which use this nation and later find out the horrendous working sweat shops that we trade with use. It is over the backs, sweat, and hard labor of poor Chinese that our American goods are made for rich companies to sell to rich Americans so they can have more goods in their homes. Our consciences don’t seem to bother us on this agenda of such apathy regarding the ethics of business with this nation. As well, this nation is having the Olympics. With this event comes prestige that says “you are one of us now.” It relates that the nation is open, honest, fair, and treats all humans with respect. Nothing however could be farther from the truth. In fact, there is a duality, two faces if you will in China today. The one political-geo face which major national companies see and do business with and then there is the heavy handed communist regime that has always been oppressive.

The major Christian publishing firm of Amity press is one top producer of Bibles in the world today. In China, the bible is known as the “sacred doctrine”. As we look at the “sacred doctrine” know that Amity is the major producer of bibles in China. The people at Amity made arrangements with government officials in China to produce a Chinese version of the bible. The bible production from Amity in China has now celebrated its 50 millionth bible to come off the presses in that nation.

The news is good that tells Christians and other nations of the freedom to have bibles in China. But in all this news, is that really the story? Is there another one hidden? I know of a close friend who is a Christian, whose daughter worked in China, Taiwan to be exact, going into mainland China for certain duties. The friend told me of the availability of bibles and the many Christians they found there when on a trip to China recently. But is this the whole story? Not at all! Many people today either ignore or have no time to really understand the complex machinery that makes China go.
The Times Online in the UK ran a story on the 50 million bibles to run off Amity’s presses in China. The information is true. There have been a tremendous influx of bibles into China, which is good, but this is not the whole story. To understand this you would have to know that only officially approved Protestant and Catholic churches can have this bible. The bible is also only on sale through a distribution system managed by the official church, which is first sanctioned to follow the state, communism, and then their faith. As a result there are millions upon millions of Christians who worship in private underground churches in China today. This is the other face to the China you may read about and hear about.
The underground churches in China actually have a network of pastors, deacons, prophets, and other workers keeping the wheel of the faith in China going. One recently elected leader, who is Pastor Zhang Mingxuan, was named President of the Chinese House Church Alliance. This Pastor wrote President Hu Jintao a letter telling him of the plight of those in house churches in China. In this letter he details attrocities of local and regional officials against those in this underground church. He also tells a number of personal experiences. One of which says that on February 21, 2002, we had a meeting of testimonies at the residence of Beiqi in Changping. At the time, US President Bush was visiting China for the first time. Changping Public Security Bureau took away 47 of us Christians, including three of whom were blind (two of whom were over 80 and one whom was only seven.) When these believers are taken into custody, many times they are beaten, tortured, and thrown in cells without food or water. They are mistreated and even killed. All this is usually with the knowledge of the local and regional officials who sanction this treatment.
Further, in a recent communiqué from the China Aid society, 270 House Church Pastors in the Shandong Province have been detained for what the Chinese officials are calling an “illegal religious gathering”. The Pastors met December 7 at 1:30 pm for a bible study when the police officials disrupted the meeting and took them to jail. We have written proven testimonies, evidence if you will of the treatment of these Christian leaders and believers in China. While China is on the world stage, making agreements with major companies and even ministries we may know of, China has an ongoing persecution of our Brothers and Sisters in Christ.
These are the two faces, duality of China today. On the one hand you see a smiling friendly face; on the other is a terrible hand of the red regime. This is the communist empire of old, persecuting its own people for its own selfish purposes. Several years ago I read a testimony of a Chinese brother who was finally able to come to the USA. He had told a true story of how when in custody for his faith, they would beat him, break his fingers, and persecute him terribly, all because he was a Christian. He further relates how he was forced to make Christmas light bulbs, the small ones for a major US company to sell in America for Christmas. He tells how he would put together these small bulbs for an American holiday celebrating the birth of Jesus using Christmas lights he was forced to make using his broken fingers.
I do not today use any kind of such bulbs for Christmas. I also strive to buy American and not Chinese. China has to clean up her act. If she is truly changed, then let there be one face. China must have a face of truth and democracy which will shine out to the world, a face which has a proven track record. Let China stop persecuting these innocent ones. Let Americans top allowing China to continue its atrocities, by refusing Chinese goods until China cleans up her act.

270 HOUSE CHURCH PASTORS DETAINED

Shandong Province- China Aid Association has learned that 270 House Church Pastors have been detained for what Chinese officials are calling an “illegal religious gathering”.
On December 7 at 1:30pm, House Church pastors in Hedeng District, Linyi City , were gathered for a Bible Study when their meeting was disrupted by police officials.

According to Pastor Li, an eyewitness, 40-50 policemen from 12 different towns were involved in the massive detention. The pastors were then handcuffed two-by-two and taken to the local police station for questioning. As of this morning 150 pastors remain in custody. The others have been released on a Y300 ($40) interrogation fee.

The humiliation these pastors received by being led away in handcuffs as common criminals, for attending a Bible study is an unjustifiable act of religious persecution. In addition, the large scale and high profile of the detentions shows the apathy of Chinese officials in moving towards a policy for toleration of religious freedom. Behavior unbecoming of the World’s host for the Olympic games in 2008.

China Aid will continue to monitor the situation and provide necessary aid for these persecuted pastors.

Living As Lights In a World of Distrust and Evil

In this nation we love, evil is personified on television before our eyes. From colorful bad guys with a yearning for wickedness to the real life dramas of serial killers, this evil saturates our lifestyles. Daily we also see on headline news, stories that bring bad tidings. Murder, violence, kidnappings, hurricanes, tornado’s, war, famine, plagues, and more are the menu around the clock. This diet of mayhem comes from the high avenues of New York a famed Times Square news bureau, to the hallowed halls of most internet surfers, news is in. We get a lot of it.

As a result, people have learned to be distrustful. Gone are the days when kids would respect their elders. Now they are fearful, distrustful, and even spiteful toward other adults. Many kids are raised to “not talk to strangers”, being taught these strangers are axe murderers, kidnappers, and molesters. The problem however, there are those bad guys in the mix, evil men that will harm innocents. The sad thing is, many young kids miss out on knowing other adults who simply love kids and want to help them. As a result, adults today don’t even pay attention to kids. They leave that to their parents; unless, of course something happens to bring them to the point of getting involved with the kids, say an accident or something.

Even women today, sparked by more rapes and murders of females than ever before are keeping an eye out for those bad people. As a man, I know a woman who is fearful a block away. For those women, seeing a man, especially when a crowd is not around brings total fear. They advance to the other side of the street way before they would pass by any man on the same sidewalk, supposing that the man would throw the woman down in broad daylight and rape her. The problem, again, is not all men are rapists and murderers. Many have wives and daughters. Many have not been unfaithful to their spouses. In one incident on a street, I saw a young woman approach me. She smiled and said in nice friendly voice, “How are you today”? I was shocked, but smiled back and said, “Fine, how about you”? We passed by each other and went our separate ways.

In another part of the country we find the secular humanists, nihilists, and the like, according to author Mark Ames of nypress.com, an alternative newspaper. His distrust is of conservative Christians. He looks upon them as having an evil agenda, per say. Mark speaking of the agenda of conservative Christians and their belief of end time events says “Currently 65 million American cultists are using everything in their power, from prayer to politics, to make this Helter Skelter scenario come true.” Speaking of Christians as cultists, Mark is viewing with distrust of a certain segment of society. That part of society is the part, I personally follow. Even though, my doctrinal views may differ from other conservative believers, Mark has lumped us all together.

As we walk the narrow corridor of life, it contains many pitfalls. The major pitfall here for the believer is how to be a “light” shining in the darkness. Jesus spoke to us in Mathew chapter five, verse sixteen saying “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” As a follower of Christ, I am to let my light shine. That means, letting the love of Christ flow through me to those around me. Paul was commissioned by Jesus Christ on the road to Damascus in Acts chapter twenty six and verse eighteen being told “To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.” This verse reveals to us that there is a power of light and a power of darkness. This darkness is equated to the power of Satan. It is in the grip of Satan that people in this world find themselves. It is a grip that doesn’t want the individual to find forgiveness of sins or be sanctified by faith in Jesus Christ. So begins the battle. One side is in darkness the other in light.

It is here that the “love quotient” needs to be inserted. In John chapter three verse sixteen it says “for God so loved the world that he gave”. Yes, God so loved, he gave His only Son on the cross. But in John chapter three verse eighteen it says that “He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” The word believe here in the Greek, means to trust in, rely on, and cling too. This is like a life preserver in the ocean and you’re adrift without one, until you see the life saving preserver. You have to cling to it to be saved. On the reverse course, the words “believeth not” mean that person stands condemned and guilty before God. Further, John in chapter three, verse nineteen says that this condemnation means that “light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.” John explains further in verse twenty that “every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.” Thus, we find the “love quotient” here in the world. You must accept this “love quotient”, which is Jesus Christ; believe on Him, to stand guiltless and not condemned. For many in the world, however, their love of evil things separates them from this. They simply do not want to give up those things they do.

So the battle is raging today. On the one side, people that think everyone on the conservative side, people that believe in the “saving of the soul” found in Hebrews 10:39 form a religious cult. Jesus warned us in John chapter fifteen and verse eighteen “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.” Yet, as believers, we are as it says in Matthew chapter five, verse forty four saying “Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.” By doing this, Love conquers hate and unbelief. A lawyer asked Jesus what were the greatest commandments. Our Lord replied in Matthew chapter twenty two, verses thirty seven to forty saying “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with thy entire mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

To love thy neighbor, this fulfills the law. This love propels the believer to testify what God has done for him through Jesus Christ. This love means the Christian stands for light and what it is. This love brings the believer to give his life to share the gospel. For the world, it means, the believer will not give up or shut up. For the world, it means, there is only one way to salvation. That is, through the Lord Jesus Christ. For those who tire of hearing the good news or about the need to be saved, it won’t stop. That is our calling to love, to share, to bring the good news of salvation to every person.

In the end, there will be those who will hate the message and the messenger. But, there will always be those who needed to hear the message. This message speaks of a loving savior who says “come unto me, all ye who are weak and heavy laden. Take my yoke upon you, for my yoke is light.” There are those who even in this tossed and turbulent world, even up hearing a message of love, will hate and despise those who are bringing it to them. For those who follow the Lord, let us not forget the “love quotient” amidst a perilous world and tough times. For as Jude said in verses twenty one to twenty three “Keep yourselves in the love of God, looking for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life. And of some have compassion, making a difference: And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh.”

7-Year Old American Girl Forced into Hiding in China

Beijing Police Refuse Justice and Medicine to Her Diabetic Father

In the shadow of gleaming new towers built for the Olympic Games, just outside of Beijing’s city center, one case highlights the religious persecution and corruption of justice that can still happen to ordinary Chinese citizens.
Just months before China is put on the world stage hosting the Olympics, Grace (EnMei) Shi, a 7-year old American girl, has been forced into hiding with her Chinese mother and 11-year old sister. They fear for their own safety and for that of EnMei’s father–Weihan Shi–a 37-year old businessman who was informally detained by the police and is being held in an unknown location.

Contrary to Chinese law, officers at the Haidian District Substation of the Beijing Public Security Bureau not only refused to tell the family where Shi is being held, they also would not tell them what he is being charged with, essentially denying him any possibility of legal defense.

He has become a victim of “enforced disappearance” placing him outside of the protection of law–a violation of “The International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance”–a U.N. convention of which China is a signatory. <>

Mr. Shi, a life-long resident of Beijing, and a travel agent active in promoting foreign travel in China during the Olympics, was arrested in his Christian literature bookstore in a high-class business tower near the Olympics Village, along with some of his employees, his younger brother and his wife–Mrs. Jing Zhang–who have since been released after questioning. After 20 police raided their home at 5 AM on November 28th, the Beijing Public Security Bureau (PSB) detained Shi’s wife, more than once, to question her in connection with Christian literature confiscated from Shi’s home, office and bookstore.

Mr. Shi is now in the eighth day of his detention by the Beijing PSB. The family is concerned that he may be quite ill. As a diabetic, going without his medicine for several days, Shi may already be facing the danger of diabetic shock. The Haidian officers have also refused to allow the family to take Mr. Shi’s diabetic medicine to him. There has been no proof or assurance to the family regarding his medical condition. Deprivation and torture tactics are often used by the PSB in their notorious detention centers to force those being held to reveal information about others. <>

The little American citizen–”Grace”–born during the family’s visit to the U.S. in 2000, and her older sister–”Lily”–are reportedly terrified for their mother and father’s safety after witnessing the raid on their home. The mother and two girls have gone into hiding, fearing the possibility that threatened reprisals against Shi’s wife and two children would be used as an interrogation tactic against him before legal representation can be arranged.
