(Note from JD) Our co-worker Anna is in New Zealand attending Children Bible Mission School. So our reports form leaders in China will be fewer than normal. We make two distributions to the persecuted church every year; one in the spring and one when I go to China in the fall and distribute in person. Thank you for your continued prayers and support for them.

Our former communications director in China just sent me a miraculous testimony which is below:

Dear All,
I know you all have been prayed for my father. After four months living with liver cancer, he died on Jan.14, 2008. And we all believe his spirit is in the Lord now. <>He was baptized when he was in Shanghai; many people said this kind of cancer will be very pained, and afraid he will suffered a lot, however, Lord heard our prayer and protected him and in his last days, he never feel pain again and left the world peacefully.

Even the night before his dying, my brother who was in the hospital and took care of him, heard clearly he cried three times: Lord, save me! And the next day, he told my elder sister to prepare clothes for him as he knows he will leave the world that day. Further more, Lord even arranged all the other two sick men in his sick berth are all Christians and give him so warmly love and care during the days when he was in hospital! My father is a testimony and a miracle to our family and all the people around him. So I know Lord love me and my family and will never abandon us!

Both sister Sarah from Anhui province and Sister Zhao in BJ said there were many orphans in Guizhou province. Sister Zhao saw many poor orphans stayed under the bridge at the train station. She said there were 10 new students from the countryside of Guizhou would go to study in Brother Ju’s school starting from this March. She asked that whether we were interested in supporting them.

Peter M. (they just expect us to fund partially)

The senior’s home – the debt has been paid. Thank you and those who sent offering. Pray for more supply for their living expenses. Brother Yuan’s family are getting very tired for serving them, they need rest. When I called Brother Yuan, he had no complaint, and thanked PCC’s support, and said God’s grace was sufficient for them. He told me they had a vision for the senior’s home: if God allows, they are going to buy the house downward of them, together with the upper house land they already bought, on it build a building for the seniors and some retired Lord’s servants. They want us to pray with them that this can be done in 7-10 years.

In Y. city, the receiving family where the fellowship was conducted house is too small to hold so many people, they are going to buy a bigger house, it will cost $29,000, they have $11,000 now, and they plan to settle this matter in April.

The musical class: pray that the students can learn well; teacher brother Tian Jinku is very talented, he can earn a lot of money if he works in the society, the church pays him 150 Yuan monthly, hope he can serve the church for a long time. ( I think if he is willing to serve God with his whole heart, he won’t care how much he get). Pray for the leader brother Lu Jun that he will be good at leading. Pray for their expenses: rental, living expenses. Before the Spring Festival the church will use some funds to help the poor, pray for the funds.

For the coming school new term: pray for the tuition for the co-workers’ children. They have about 4 university students, $810.00 per year per student about 3 high school students, $540.00 per year per student, about 3 middle school students, $405.00 per year per student, about 4 primary school students, $270.00 per year per student

City evangelism: They will send co-workers to start new churches in these cities; they need travel, lodging expenses. May God rise up more local workers. All their meetings these days went very well, 150 believers willed to serve God and 70 did their tithe for the first time. Thanks for your prayer. Please pray for 10 days (11 Feb — 21 Feb.) couples’ meeting, Peter and his wife will go to each church to conduct it. There are 2 brothers’ meetings too.

On 26 Feb. Peter will preside a wedding for Brother Han Wei, on the wedding Peter will preach to call for receiving the salvation also. Sister Cao’s home became a receiving home for Sunday service, troubles came upon her: she is a business woman, and got a sickness on her waist. Her son-in-law (unbeliever) is a leader in the police bureau, 2 cases (murder and plunder) happened in his precinct. Her mother-in-law is a idolater.

In April, Pure Heart’s wife Ester will give birth to a child (planned).

Peter’s parents-in-law (father: Dai Shi Jun, 80; mum: Liu Shu Lan, 62 ) has been separated ( sleep separately under one house) for 20 years. They said they believed in Jesus, they can’t read Bible due to without education,. Sister Li Yu Ling is a leader for the sisters’ meeting, she has anointing to do that, and get good result. Days before the meeting, she always was attacked by Satan: her heart would become very fretful, that she want to die. Her son Peng Han, 20, a student of a vocational school, often goes to the internet bar instead of study.

Peter:
In Xin Jiang province, 3 Wei Wu Er nationality Muslims converted into Christians, in last Dec. they were sentenced to 3, 5, 7 years service in prison separately . Due to this, it is not safe to contact with Peter recently.

Brother Zhao:
On 6 Jan. Sunday, because the person who was in charge of opening the church door went back to his home town, so the door was opened late, many people waited outside of the door. The neighbors thought they were doing network marketing, and phoned the police. When Zhao was presiding the Lord’s supper, the police came. They waited till the meeting finished. Coincidently 2 believers were checking the church’s accounting then, the police confiscated all the cash, bank book(total:16 thousands Yuan), and the accounting book. 8-9 co-workers stayed behind to face the police with Zhao. They were taken to the police station for interrogation. The co-workers were released before 22:00, Zhao was released before 1am..

In the afternoon, the police went to Zhao’s home, messed up his home, took away his books, CDs, bank book(they threatened that they were going to freeze it) .
Zhao said when he was preaching in an evangelism meeting(about 10 thousand attended) last year , the police had noticed him. Zhao said he was going to BJ to consult lawyer for this incident on 22 Jan.

The church in the capital city has 80-90 people, 2/3 are university students. To avoid disturbing the neighbors, they were going to rent a house in the office building, which can contain 150 people, it will cost 40-60 thousand Yuan per year. Now the church has been closed. They began house group meeting.

5. Samuel:
This is an un-peaceful year. Maybe caused by the Olympic Games, seizure, house searching and property confiscation happened everywhere in China, Christians couldn’t have normal gatherings. Days ago, the social science academy published a blue book, which requires each official section to be on guard during the Olympic Games, make sure that no trouble happen, esp. the ethnic issue (mainly the religion issue) and social issue .

We have a brother who was sentenced to 1 and half year for the sake of preaching among the Muslims. In that village the Muslims found that the words were blasphemous to their belief in the tracts he wrote and printed. So they were irritated to get together, wanted to beat him to death with stones and hoes etc.. Then someone reported this event to the police, the police came and rescued him from death risk. He will be released from the prison in this Nov.. He has a 2 years old child.

They appealed his case to the court, the judge was rendered speechless and requested adjournment . After the lawyer left, they enforced this sentence. We ask God for justice and remember His servant. This affected the ministry there greatly, the other workers were embroiled and ministry was stopped for the moment and will be carried on after the lunar New Year. Please pray for God to open the way for evangelism in this place. The local government claimed that they were going to take action against the house church. Please pray for us that we have faith and courage to face all these.
A good news to you: my wife had given birth to a son, now I’m a father of 3. Meantime please pray for my family: our physical needs be met (He has never mistreated us); may God open a way for my 2 children to get their birth certificate (permanent registered residency). Please pray for me: I feel I’m going to be exhausted, I need retreat to have a rest, can anyone come to help me, to give training and stoke the spiritual fire ? Thank you! I called him later, he said that in his church there was no other capable workers who could replace his position, they are in the training process.

6. Deborah’s letter
We recruited new students for a new evangelist school last Oct. We spent a lot of time and energy to prepare the new school. I feel very sorry and guilty for this late report, thank you for your great love for us. Please pray for: Promotion and implementation of 2008 vision for the whole church. Good teachers for the new term of the Bible class new students selection / filtration for 2008

The evangelist class (12 students) has begun their study, and won’t stop during the Spring Festival, please pray for their safety and joyful heart and family. May God strengthen all our co-workers’ faith, protect our families, empower us.
