“This Weeks Study Notes
Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven part 1
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Introduction:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everywhere our Lord went, multitudes went with him or gathered together unto him. At these times he would teach them about the kingdom of God. It was at this time, he spake when he said this:
The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a net:
Jesus is the fisherman and he would cast the net into the sea, the crowds that gathered. These were people of every kind. Rich and poor, romans and jews, religious scholars like the Pharisees, Scribes, and Saduccees also gathered to listen.
It was not the mere fact that the jews had the torah and tanache, nor the writings, the prophets, and the psalms. No, not at all, Jesus Came to fulfill what was written of him in the book, yet those who read the book and studied did not receive him, as John wrote about it in the first chapter of John, saying “he came to his own and his own received him not.”
The net Jesus cast gathered people unto him and in this arena people heard the seed of the word of God. It was that seed, planted that the people either rejected or accepted. It was that seed that the enemy tried to take away. It was also in the fields during harvest that the servants noticed the enemy planted tares among the wheat. Yet, they were told not to pull up the tares.
Matthew 13:47
Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and gathered of every kind:
Matthew 13:48
Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
Matthew 13:49
So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from among the just,
Matthew 13:50
And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Who is this:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The teachings that Jesus brought forth and the miracles he did, surely bore record to who he was.
Scriptures testify of Jesus Christ: Yeshua Ha Massiach:
John 5:37 And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.
38 And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
40 And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.
41 I receive not honour from men.
42 But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you.
43 I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.
The Pharisees, Scribes, and Sadducee’s, along with the Chief Priests did not believe him! While they could not discount the miracles he did, they did not believe in him. Also in his home country and his own house, there was much unbelief concerning him!
Their human wisdom and knowledge told them one thing, while to know who he was, required Spiritual knowledge from the Lord God!
He was seen as one of their own, and while they could not understand his wisdom nor the works that followed him, they could not grasp where he got all this authority! As a result, they became offended in him! They were in unbelief, offended, and no mighty works were done!
Matthew 13:54
And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works?
Matthew 13:55
Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?
Matthew 13:56
And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man all these things?
Matthew 13:57
And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.
Matthew 13:58
And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.
The Works Jesus Christ did, testified he was the Son of God:
John 10:36 Say ye of him, whom the Father hath sanctified, and sent into the world, Thou blasphemest; because I said, I am the Son of God?
37 If I do not the works of my Father, believe me not.
38 But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.
Mysteries:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yet, the Lord specifically told his disciples that they were given to know the ‘mysteries of the kingdom of heaven’. But to those it was not given, those in the crowds who heard the parables!
The One fundamental truth, or mystery of Gods kingdom is, NO ONE can just pop into the kingdom of God when they decide too! This is not a grocery store picking up what you want when you want it! It is discipleship, it is the cross, it is a fellowship in Christ, it is holy, it is love, it is at a cost!
1. Jesus spoke that it was the Father who draws people to the Son.
2. Those who the Father gave to the Son, the Son will in no wise cast out!
3. Jesus said No one can come to him except it were given unto him of the Father
4. Jesus Prayed, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one as we are!
John 6:37 All that the Father giveth me shall come to me; and him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.
John 6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.
John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.
John 17:11 ¶And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are.
God has commanded all men everywhere to repent!
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
God has given all power into the Son’s hands:
Power to become the sons of God:
received:
2983 [lambano /lam·ban·o/] v. to take.
to take with the hand, lay hold of, to claim, procure, for one’s self, to receive what is offered, not to refuse or reject, to receive a person, give him access to one’s self
believe:
pisteuo (4100), “to believe,” also “to be persuaded of,” and hence, “to place confidence in, to trust,” signifies, in this sense of the word, reliance upon, not mere credence.
Power to become sons of God
power:
exousia ( 1849) denotes “authority” (from the impersonal verb exesti, “it is lawful”). From the meaning of “leave or permission,” or liberty of doing as one pleases, it passed to that of “the ability or strength with which one is endued,” then to that of the “power of authority,” the right to exercise power
Sons of God:
NT, Sons, who with the power, exousia, have the permission, the right to exercise power, the power of authority, to become the Sons, or children of God. This is done by belief, in Christ, those who have received, laid hold of, and have accepted who he is and what he did! This power is an act of God, given to those who believe on Christ Jesus. It is transforming power, to be in the image of Christ, who is the image of God ‘if you have seen me,you have seen the father’.
John 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Power on earth to forgive sins: [closely associate with physical healing]
Mark 2:10 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,)
Power to will that those who believe on him, will be with him where he is at:
John 17:24 ¶Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
God has given all things into his hand!
Spirit without measure
Father loves the Son
Believeth equals everlasting life
Believeth not equals wrath of God abiding on you!
John 3:34 For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.
35 The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand.
36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
It is this plainly that Jesus spoke to his disciples saying to them in regard to ‘why speak to them in parables’, saying:
Matt 13:11 “it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.”
Why?
Because he that believeth as we have said, have been given the right, or authority to become the sons of God. Those who do not believe, even those who don’t believe yet, have the wrath of God abiding on them.
Matthew 13:10
And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?
Matthew 13:11
He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.
Matthew 13:12
For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
To those who hear, more shall be given, therefore, if any many has ears to hear, let him hear, so that he may be given more!
Mark 4:23 If any man have ears to hear, let him hear.
24 And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.
25 For he that hath, to him shall be given: and he that hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he hath.
