AN INCREDIBLE DAY in the HISTORY OF HAITI

I think that I will remember this day as one of the most significant
in my life, not because of what I did, but for it’s meaning…

Today was the one month anniversary of the great Haitian earthquake.

About 3 days ago the Haitian President announced that there
would be 3 days of holiday from work for the purpose of fasting
and prayer.  This is absolutely historic.  If you have ever been in
Haiti as a visitor or missionary, could you ever have imagined
such a pronouncement? Could you image such an announcement
from the U.S. President?  This morning I saw a young Haitian-
American woman, the leader of a work team, crying because the
Americans could not understand the incredible importance of this
day and wanted to go about business as usual. Remember, it was
only about 6 years ago that a former Haitian president called the
nation to come together to rededicate the nation to Satan.

On February 12, 2010, President Préval of Haiti called his nation to 3 days of fasting and prayer in place of the regular Mardi Gras celebration. Several of the Nations Christian Leaders had 5 days to set up and arrange this event, Pastor Rene Joseph of Loving Hands Ministry was one of the head leaders and over 1 million Haitians attended this epic event.

It is a common belief that the church of western Christianity has slid into great apostasy to the point where many believe there is only a remnant of true believers left. Messiah Yeshua and the Apostle Paul warned that before the revealing of the anti-messiah (2 Thessalonian s) there would be a falling away. Many who are on this email list would not debate this point. American Christianity has rejected God for mammon and adultery with the world. It may be that as Romans 11 speaks about, the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled and because of their rebellion and unbelief the spirit is once again being poured out upon the seed of Jacob for the in gathering at the end of days before Messiah’s return. While their may be a remnant of faithful gentiles the whole have departed from their first love. There is not one denomination of Christian left on the planet that not wholesale sold out to materialism or humanism. I challenge you to prove otherwise.

That being said it is interesting to see the battle our Jewish brethren are fighting once again in Eretz Yisrael (The land of Israel). More Jews are coming to faith in the Messiah of Israel than anytime in history save the early church and their numbers may soon surpass those early days. For those who would claim, falsely, that I am a dispensationalist I reply vehemently I am not. There is one name by which we must be saved and if a Jew has not the Son he has not the Father either. But just as in the days of the early believers those who say they are Jews but are of the Synagogue of Satan seek to destroy the believers in Messiah. To those brothers and sisters I give this word.

I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my new name.He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the ekklessia. Shouwang House Church Raided by Beijing Government Officials. Major Beijing House Church Leader Detained; The Situation of Religious Freedom in China Prior to Olympics Continues to Worsen

Beijing- CAA’s Beijing investigators have learned that after a May 2 incident when police in Sichuan raided and harassed the Autumn Rain Church of Chengdu during a retreat meeting, (for more details click here) the police and officials from religion administration agencies suddenly raided Shouwang House Church in Beijing in the name of stopping an “illegal gathering” and ordered the church to stop meeting.

CAA has also learned that two weeks ago, police and officials from religion administration agencies in Beijing tried to abolish by force a united prayer meeting organized by members of a house church in Beijing . On May 9, a major house church leader, Pastor Dong Yutao, was arrested and placed under criminal detention by Beijing PSB officials for allegedly “receiving illegally printed Bibles and Religious Literature”. Only Bibles printed and distributed by TSPM churches are allowed by Government officials. Pastor Dong is one of 4 leaders of the Beijing City Revival Church , one of the largest house churches in Beijing . He was arrested while on his way to obtain a shipment of Bibles. Attorney Zhang Xingshui, of Beijing Jing Ding Law Firm will represent pastor Dong in court.

13 House Church Leaders Detained in Sichuan Province
April 5, 2008

Sichuan- CAA has learned that 13 house church leaders were detained at Qu county, Sichuan province on March 30. According to an eyewitness within the church there, around 3pm March 29th, Saturday afternoon, a house church service was attacked during their praise and worship service. The church is in Qu county, Dazhou city which is 6 hours drive from Chengdu city, Sichuan Province. 7 believers were taken by a group of people who claimed to be from local religious affairs bureau, community administration and national security. Their names are Wang Qingxiu, Zhou Yanmei, Zhang Mingxiu, Luo Qinghua, Wan Huabi, Wang Zhenping, and Yan XX. Wan Huabi and Wang Zhenping were released after the interrogation.

The lead story on Drudge over the weekend was the Pope baptizing a prominent Egyptian author who converted from Islam to Catholicism, and for good reason. It’s a huge story in Italy and the Muslim world, especially coming as it did the week that Osama bin Laden accused the Pope of waging a “crusade” against Islam. But this particular baptism is just the tip of the iceberg.

Despite unprecedented press coverage of Afghanistan, Iraq, and the Middle East since September 11, 2001, one big story is generally not being told by the mainstream media. Hundreds of thousands of Muslims are converting to evangelical Christianity and will be celebrating their first Easter this year, even amidst widespread persecution and the very real threat of death.

11 Children Arrested in Xinjiang for Attending Religious Study

Xinjiang- CAA has learned that 11 minors and 2 adults have been detained by Xinjiang PSB officials while attending a House Church Bible Study in Huocheng County, Qingshuihe township. At 9:00pm on Febuary 28, 2008 (Beijing Time), PSB officials disrupted the gathering and detained the minors along with Ms. Fu Jun 41, owner of the house, and Ms. Lu Lanxiang-42. The children, ages 16-17, were brought to the Qingshuihe township PSB office in freezing weather and were not allowed to bring adequate clothing.

Sources close to CAA say that 16 year old Lou Nan, daughter of pastor Lou Yuanqi, who pastors the house church, is one of the detained. Pastor Lou Yuanqi was not present during the detention of the other members. Pastor Lou was detained on October 20, 2006, along with 3 other pastors for organizing the House Church. All 4 pastors served 32 days in detention where they were severely beaten by guards and inmates daily.

By calling the PSB office in which the 13 are being held, CAA confirmed that the 13 members now detained are being held by Qingshuihe township PSB officials under the charge of “illegal religious gathering”. Family members have been denied visitation. The condition and wellbeing of the church members remains unknown.
