Preface: The secret place, The Word of God, and that still small voice
Summary:
The secret place, where in the Word of God and the still small voice found its way into my heart. It is from there, many hours, days and more pondering and studying Gods word. Borne out of a seed from God and my love for those who live in this country, I write this book. This tells of the sweetness of honey of the word from God, and the bitterness of having to deliver a word of judgment.
Introduction : The D Day for America and what it means.
Scripture:
Psalms 33:18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;
Summary introduction:
From the time in the study of the General who agonized over the sending of troops into battle in the second world war to the state of our nation today. It is Along with this, we see the Word of Hope for those who can and want to be found in the Lord on the Day of Judgment.
Just as the first D day was important in the events in human history to conquer evil, so too is this next D day event that is coming. It will be a sizeable portion of Gods hand dealing with stubborn nations, peoples, and tongues. The major focus of this book is on the warning of the event, the characteristics of those nations who face this judgment, and those things as believers we can do.
Chapter One: The Rejoicing Nation-rejoicing amidst idols-wherein do ye hope?
Scripture:
Zephaniah 2:15 This is the rejoicing city that dwelt carelessly, that said in her heart, I am, and there is none beside me: how is she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down in! every one that passeth by her shall hiss, and wag his hand.
Summary chapter 1:
From the Asians walking across the land bridge from Russia to Alaska some 30,000 years ago (according to experts) to the modern nation we call America, this country has been blessed. More so, it has been extraordinarily raised up in the community of nations as the most powerful, the strongest, the richest, and the most decadent of all societies. It is with concern and biblical basis, that this chapter walks a path from the beginning to the current day. Bringing the biblical picture of Babylon, and the warnings of the prophets to the forefront, you are confronted with the start reality of a nation that has gone over the top in pursuit of pleasures. The lurid lifestyle of Americans, the Luke warmness of many Christians presents a contrast to the biblical basis of Christian discipleship. We are warned in stark terms from the prophets themselves to be alert and awake at a time like this. The Apostles warned of this perilous society that was coming. Now in this chapter we see the rejoicing America, who sits upon the heap of the nations and glories in her success. The falling away from the True God to a God that doesn’t see, nor hear, nor care is putting this nation on a collision course with the D day for America.
Chapter Two: The kingdoms of greatness, the many Babylon’s, taking heed to the warnings.
Scripture:
1 Peter 5:13 The church that is at Babylon, elected together with you, saluteth you; and so doth Marcus my son.
Summary chapter 2:
As we walk this path to D day, that coming day when all nations will face the judgment of God, will we look back at the other nations and ask ourselves this question. Why did we not learn from the other nation’s mistakes that went before us? This chapter indeed takes the reader through other kingdoms of greatness, which I call the many Babylon’s.
We first look at the warning in Deuteronomy 8:12, which says, Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; verse 14 goes on to say, then thine heart be lifted up and thou forget the Lord thy God. This warning to Israel is as stark as any given in the Old Testament and the new. This chapter points out that God not only judged Israel but Babylon, Tyre, and many others including the last Babylon in Revelation along with the nations on earth.
Many who deny God rules the nations will learn from these scriptures that God is the God of all the nations. His will be done on earth. Those nations who forget god will be turned into hell. These points are given to the reader that he might awaken and hope thou in God, repent and be saved.
Chapter Three: Blood Guiltiness
Scripture:
Genesis 9:5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man’s brother will I require the life of man.
6 Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.
Summary chapter 3:
This chapter brings the reader face to face with the topic of blood. We discuss blood guilt which is ‘The shedding of innocent blood’. In verse five of Genesis nine, the word require is used for “require the life of man”. God will require or pursue the blood that was shed by another. This is the shedding of innocent blood by another.
This process of bloodguilt is seen in the Old Testament and the theme is carried on by Jesus, those who opposed him (the priests and others of his day), and is seen in the last book of the bible (Revelation).
We cover this topic and reveal some points to consider about this nation. A nation that was given much light, just as Israel was given, and like Israel, we too became a bloody nation. Today we see this blood thirsty morality in our movies, our books, in our schools, our churches, our hospitals, on our streets.
From the words of the bible we see what this is, what God has done to nations that were overcome by this and what we can do about it. This chapter is a stark hard hitting look at the shedding of innocent blood.
Chapter Four: With Evil all around what’s a person to do?
Scripture:
2 Timothy 3:1 ¶This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
Hebrews 1:1 ¶God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets,
2 Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of
Summary chapter 4:
The Roman Empire was an evil, decadent, and religious society. It was a society that the early church existed in the midst of. In their example and the words given to us by the apostles is the formula for their overcoming success. They were fanatics about Christ. To them there was no other savior, no other name, any other way of life. They, while surrounded by challenges to a godly life, managed to leave us a legacy as no other.
This chapter takes a solid look at the biblical teachings to help us survive and overcome as the early church did. America with all its idolatry, religious ways, and immorality should not overcome the ardent believer if he or she follows the path the early church took. While looking at Christ as the only way, they stood upon the Rock of Gods word, filled with the Spirit; they applied themselves to the foundation Jesus Christ left for all his followers. From Genesis to Revelation, and the epistles of Paul, John and others, this chapter fills you with solid hope and looking for Gods grace to help you succeed like those before you who followed Christ.
Chapter Five: The Smelter of the Lord: Through the course of this passing
the Smelter, those in Christ fully come to have faith in the name of Jesus.
Scripture
2 Timothy 2:19 ¶Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.
20 But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour.
Summary chapter 5:
This chapter weaves its way against a backdrop of Gods dealings with Israel and the warnings of the prophets. First established is the fact of “purging” or “smelting” as we call it. Taking an in depth look at what this process is and the many agents used in breaking down the gold in this refining process. The agents are the tools God uses to bring His people back from rebellion and apostasy.
This chapter makes the scriptural basis for the “Israel of God”, which consists of both Jew and Gentile, male and female. With this basis of scripture, we look at the church in America and how this church needs to understand and be warned of its ways. The case is made scriptural in that we must learn from those things written before in the Old Testament. This process of “smelting” leads us to full repentance and into Gods mercy and forgiveness.
Chapter Six: What Faith see’s and say’s. Triumph amidst the trials that are coming.
Scripture:
Luke 21:34 And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares.
35 For as a snare shall it come on all them that dwell on the face of the whole earth.Habakkuk 3:17 Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls:
18 Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
Summary chapter 6:
This chapter takes an in your face look at the terrible judgments that come at nations and peoples. It follows for example the dilemma of Habakkuk living in the society he lived in. While seeing the wickedness around him, he asked God to do something. God did, he sent the wicked Chaldean nation to destroy Judah. What an answer. Why did God do that? What was Habakkuk’s ‘bottom line faith’ principle that through these events was developed? We also take a hard look at ourselves, our own faith and what would we do if like this prophet we lost everything. Would we fold up and fall away or become like this man of God, a person of Bottom Line Faith.
We see Paul’s example, his vision of judgment. What did Paul do? He warned as many as he could, for he said “knowing the wrath of God” we persuade men. In this chapter, we see that no matter the trouble to us or our nation, we as the children of God can have faith to sustain us, love for others that we can warn them and show them Gods salvation, and peace within during the storms that are coming.
Chapter Seven: Giants in the Land
Scripture:
Hebrews 12
1 ¶Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
3 For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds.
4 ¶Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin.
Summary chapter 7:
Living in the day that we do, it is not be uncommon for the everyday Christian to have trouble fighting the giants that surround us daily. Taken from the example of Israel as they went into battle to obtain the Promised Land, here specific we relate the giants, their characteristics, and how do we face such foes.
Many today have trouble rising up from where they are. That is stirring and moving from the complacency that is brought on by such a society as ours. Others once raised, have no courage to cross over into enemy territory from which the giant is waiting. As one eventually crosses over, he finds he must face the foe that has in the past taunted him or her. It is here, once a person makes up his mind to rise up, cross over, and face that giant, that the faith must be released.
Chapter Eight: Seeing the Hand of God in the land of the Giants
Scripture:
Matthew 28:20 b
I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
Summary chapter: 8
In chapter seven we looked at Giants we face. This chapter tells us that while we face such things, God is with us. He never leaves us. Although the outcomes of the battles we face may differ than what we want, faith in God is the key. Here we look at the words of the apostles Paul, Peter, John, for examples in the Giants of society, the battle itself and seeing the hand of God in the Land of the giants.
This chapter takes a hard look at American Christians and the battles they face. While we face one kind of giant or another, seldom do we face death. The giants face by many overseas in the persecuted church take on a different tone. When they lose to the giant they face it means death. But even in this death, these faithful find life and the knowledge that God did not desert them.
Chapter Nine: the firepower of Gods provision for us in the land of the Giants
Scripture
1 John 2:23 Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.
24 Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.
25 And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life.
26 These things have I written unto you concerning them that seduce you.
Summary chapter 9:
Learning to battle those giants takes the greatest firepower there is. There is none greater than the true gospel. This gospel is being bombarded with hundreds of fakes, false apostles, spirits, and other Christ’s. The giants that we face promote the antichrist agenda and his tools are those things contrary to the ‘foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief cornerstone.
In facing these foes, the apostles, the early church, and many believers today have overcome through faith in Christ. But for many, the battle is too long, too weary, and too complex to win. When faced with these problems, we need to refocus on the truth. The simple truth in Jesus Christ and roll our burdens upon Him. But that is not easy when you have one foot in the world and its cares and you try to balance it with the ‘faith and gospel of Christ’. This is where the true Disciples of Christ come in. For the true believer this chapter will ring true as he see’s those things one hopes in. This is Christ.
Chapter Ten: The aim of those in Christ Jesus, striving to be ‘sons of obedience’
Scripture:
2 Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore we labour, that, whether present or absent, we may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.
Summary chapter 10:
Where are you today? Where are you headed? What is your goal for Christ? Look inside and check your love of Christ meter. Are you a “son of obedience” or are you a “son of disobedience”. Maybe, your neither, maybe you don’t Know Christ. In either case, Our God, through Jesus Christ has made a way for you. It is not too late to believe on the Lord and be saved. This chapter reveals the hard fact of disobedient Christians living in the world today. It speaks of the scriptural commands to Christians today and our duties to warn the disobedient and have no fellowship with them. At the same we are to be a light and a witness to those in the world and not of the faith. This is a hard hitting look at the soft anything goes Christianity we have in America.
Chapter Eleven: Hope for such a time as this
Scripture:
Psalms 31:24 Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen
your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD.
Summary chapter 11:
Everyone needs hope. In today’s society with all its pressures, as well as, in the church, people face challenges and tests of their abilities to progress within a civilization. In the everyday grind, people have hopes of their own. Desires that well up and find its completion in that special hope. Some seek a special retirement, others house, some boats; still others have a desire for that secret getaway. Within all these man centered hope, lies another hope. A seed from God, planted within the souls of men, by faith in response to the cross of Christ.
This chapter walks through the upcoming “shaking” of all “nations”. A Shaking that will leave many man centered hopes in ruins. Still, the hope of all hope is the one found in Gods mercy to us. It is that hope, pouring out of Gods love to us that will sustain us all in the dark times ahead. This hope is centered in God, coming from God, to us. Our hope, defined in this chapter, helps us to look to that hope and realize that no matter
Conclusion: Conclusion of the whole matter
Scripture:
Ecclesiastes 12:13 ¶Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
Proverbs 16:11 ¶A just weight and balance are the
LORD’S: all the weights of the bag are his work.
Summary conclusion:
As it says in Ecclesiastes twelve verse thirteen saying; Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. This chapter deals with the God of our salvation, as well as, detailing my conversion and that of my wife. As well we deal with the issues of following Christ’s commands while watching and waiting for the coming of the Lord. While we are doing this God will continue to ‘shake all things’. America in her own unique lifestyle and challenges will not be delivered from this shaking. The example for America is Israel, Sodom, and others as Jude records that were judged for doing the things they were doing. This chapter gives scriptural evidence to help the believer stand on. It looks to the coming of Christ and His kingdom on earth as the fulfillment of many bible passages. Even Jesus Christ told of his own coming after the tribulation. In all this the verse quoted earlier comes out loud and clear for even us in the day and age we live in. This chapter lets us peer beyond the veil of our own daily existence and into the bright day of the redemption of Gods people and establishment of the kingdom of God.
